Professor Hanna Godlewska-Majkowska, Ph. D.
In 1984, Professor Hanna Godlewska-Majkowska graduated from the Faculty of Production Economics at SGPiS (currently SGH). She obtained her PhD in 1991, post-doctoral degree in economics in 2000, and since 2015 has held the title of professor of economic sciences.
From graduation till 2006, she worked in the Department of Economic Geography. In the years 2006-2016, she was the deputy director of the Institute of Enterprise, and earlier the deputy director of the Institute of National Economy Functioning. In the years 2006-2016 she took care of the Students’ Club of Entrepreneurship and Regional Analysis.
Since 2014 she has been the head of the Business Environment Unit at the Institute of Enterprise at the Collegium of Business Administration, and since 2016 she has held the position of full professor at the Institute of Enterprise. In the years 2016/2017 as well as 2019/2020 she is the vice-rector for cooperation with the environment at SGH.
Research conducted by prof. H. Godlewska-Majkowska and her team have been the basis for preparing investment attractiveness reports of Polish regions, districts and communes as requested by Polish Investment & Trade Agency (Polska Agencja Inwestycji i Handlu, PAIIH).
She has been twice among the Top-10 SGH lecturers. Professor Hanna Godlewska-Majkowska teaches classes in, inter alia, operational management, entrepreneurship, local and regional economy as well as maintains close cooperation with business environment institutions.
She has supervised 6 doctors of economic sciences and is the author of numerous publications and expert opinions. She has repeatedly managed scientific teams, including inter-university ones.
